From the earliest days when Clarence Jordan and Millard Fuller started dreaming about Partnership Housing which evolved into Habitat for Humanity and The Fuller Center for Housing, the church and church missions were the centerpiece of this movement.
Under the leadership of Jody Wade, the Americus-Sumter Fuller Center's latest mission is to go back to those early ideas and match historically African American congregations with historically white congregations to find common ground through service to our community. Because we know that a leaky roof and a cold house are equal opportunity tragedies and we also know that Kingdom Building and community service benefits all of our citizens.
